Leadership / Management
TO LEAD OR TO MANAGE ... OR BOTH
Since embarking on my career journey, I've found myself naturally gravitating towards leadership and management roles. While not explicitly seeking out these positions, my true aim is to ensure that top-notch products reach the hands of our customers. I possess an innate ability to quickly become passionate about the organizations I work for because, in my view, passion for our products, team, and organization is what truly gets us out of bed each morning.
The roles of leader and manager do differ significantly, but I'm more than capable of performing in either or both capacities. One of the things I cherish the most is witnessing a colleague push their boundaries, achieve success in areas they once doubted, and continuously grow to become better than they were the day before.
In a professional setting, I strive to create an enjoyable atmosphere where everyone can excel. My dedication to product excellence and team collaboration is what drives me to take on challenges and make a difference every day.
BUT HOW DO WE ALL MOVE IN THE SAME DIRECTION?
Mentorship & Support
In both leadership and management roles, mentorship and support are vital ingredients that define the heart of these positions. These guiding principles foster the growth and triumph of the entire team. A team that knows they're backed and protected will undoubtedly outshine an exposed team, making every day of the week a winning one!
Task Planning & Performance Management
Amidst all the coaching, mentoring, and nurturing of a team, a sense of direction remains vital. Assigning tasks helps the team pull together, moving in unison towards a shared goal. At the same time, it's essential to frequently evaluate each member, identifying areas for improvement, offering assistance, and ensuring they're never in the dark about their role in the grand scheme of things. After all, a well-supported and informed team is a recipe for success!Â
