IMQS Software
COMPANY INFORMATION
I'm delighted to introduce you to IMQS, a company I'm incredibly proud to be part of. IMQS is more than just a business; it's a purpose-driven enterprise making meaningful strides in areas where it's needed most. Our focus is centred on infrastructure asset management, an exciting field that has the power to shape and improve communities.
IMQS operates through two main avenues - service delivery and software delivery. This division allows us to meet a diverse range of client needs and excel in every project we undertake. Within the software delivery sphere, we further divide our activities into product development and factory development, an arrangement that ensures we create cutting-edge solutions in the most efficient manner.
I've had the privilege of wearing multiple hats within IMQS. I started off in service delivery, channeling my talents into solution architecture. From there, I transitioned to product delivery, working as a product manager where I honed my skills in managing product owners and product managers.
My journey has now brought me to an exciting chapter, where I am overseeing the software factory. This venture was born out of a need to create smaller, yet impactful, products and applications that promptly address our clients' unique needs not catered for by our standard product suite.
Throughout my time here, I've seen first-hand how this dynamic structure allows us to adapt, innovate and deliver results that exceed expectations. It's been a fantastic ride so far, and I'm thrilled to see what we can achieve next in our mission to transform and empower societies one project at a time!
EMPLOYMENT BREAKDOWN
In the realm of software development, every step forward is a step into uncharted territory. My journey has seen me metamorphose from a Solution Analyst to a Product Manager, and ultimately, the manager of a game-changing department at my current company. Allow me to share my narrative:
As we step back to 2016, you'll find me embarking on my exciting journey with the company as a Solution Analyst. My role centered on architecting and implementing bespoke client-centric solutions across an array of public sector domains. Another aspect of my role was active participation in the tender bidding process, where I had the chance to construct and deliver compelling presentations. However, after a year of scrutinizing our solution delivery process, I identified potential areas of inefficiency, igniting my desire to transition into the role of a Product Manager.
Fast-forward to three years ago, I found myself fully immersed in the role of a Product Manager. In this capacity, I was tasked with managing the performance of product owners and business analysts. I was devoted to the introduction of innovative processes, all the while fine-tuning the existing ones to ensure peak performance. During this period, our team was entrusted with a significant project just as the Covid pandemic hit, creating a challenging environment for onboarding new team members. However, the adversity served as a catalyst for creativity and cooperation, resulting in the successful development of two indispensable applications, a testament to our collective resilience.
Leap to the present, after my tenure in solution analysis, architectural design, and the development of two crucial applications (which are still in active use today), we decided to strategize a key organizational change. We established a new department: the Software Factory. This department, dedicated to exploiting low-code technologies, was conceived to confront and solve challenges that our standard product suite was unable to tackle.
Now, as we pause to look back on my journey, we witness a story of transformation, resilience, and innovation. It has been an exhilarating expedition, and I can't wait to see where the path ahead will lead!
